Day by day, the social participation of the children at White Hearts Center is enhanced and expanded. The children become able to take more confident steps outdoors. WHC engages our children in various and diverse activities which ensure the participatory approach and inclusion values.
These activities enable the children to interact with others and give them the opportunity to express themselves and share their feelings without shame or fear. Interacting and integrating with others is one way to change the stereotypical image of children with Down syndrome.In November, the children participated in the “A Clean Environment is Our Responsibility,” which was organized by the Syrian Civil Defense in Idlib. Many organizations and decision-makers participated in the event, and WHC and the children left a lovely impression. The audience expressed their admiration for the Center and the positive impact it has on the lives and behaviors of children with Down syndrome.
